Abbot - Phra Prasert Suppanyo
353 472Phra Prasert Supanyo, or as he is is endearingly called at the Wat San Fran Dhammaram, Luang Loong, has been a devoted follower of Venerable Acariya Thoon Khippapanyo since his days as a layperson. He is one of the most senior Western disciples of Acariya Thoon Khippapanyo.
An M.D. from Chiang Mai University in Thailand, Phra Prasert immigrated to the US and established a successful practice at Kaiser. He practiced internal medicine for over thirty years before entering the Sangha. These days, he is the abbot of Wat San Fran Dhammaram.
