During the watering ceremony\, scented water is poured onto the Buddha’s relics\, monks\, nuns\, and temple elders as a symbol of purification and washing away of one’s sins and bad luck. \n  \nSchedule \n10:30 a.m. Almsround \n11:00 a.m. Lunch offering \n12:15 p.m. Sanghadana \n12:30 p.m. Sacred watering ceremony \n01:30 p.m. Fun and water games at Elk Glen Picnic Area (opposite Mallard Lake at Golden Gate Park) \n*If you plan to participate in the games at the park\, be sure to bring some spare clothes! \n**Instruction to Elk Glen Picnic Area: go on Lincoln Way toward 25th Ave\, then turn on 25th Ave towards the park\, then make a left on Martin Luther King Jr Dr\, Elk Glen Picnic Area is on your right hand side in 0.2 miles\, opposite Mallard Lake at Golden Gate Park. \n
