In 2015, San Fran Dhammaram Temple purchased the building at 2701 Lincoln Way, and it is becoming a women’s practice center called Akaliko, where women and nuns can come and practice. However, the building is over 100 years, and there has been frequent and extensive flooding inside, causing the wooden walls, ceiling and floor to rot. For this reason, the monks and directors of the temple are searching for ways to raise funds to pay for the expense of the restoration.
We invite you to be a sponsor of the August 2017 Forest Robe Offering Ceremony to help pay the expense of Akaliko’s restoration, currently estimated at $215,000. Any amount at all is appreciated; there is no minimum donation. Your donation helps sustain the Buddhist religion in the USA as well as enables others to benefit from the robust resources San Fran Dhammaram Temple provides.
To sponsor the Forest Offering Ceremony, you may: 1) stop by the temple in person; 2) donate via paypal; or 3) mail a check made out to “San Fran Dhammaram Temple” at 2645 Lincoln Way, San Francisco, CA 94122.
